Knitting
I started knitting again this past year when I needed a way to get off my feet after a day in our t-shirt quilt shop. Most days I spend quite a bit of time standing and I was getting tired of vegetating in front of the tv when it turned dark at 5:00 in the wintertime. So I took up knitting again. I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy knitting things for our 4 grandchildren. I use to knit about 25 years ago but wasn’t all that proficient at it. Gotta love the internet for now being able to learn just about anything. I use to knit really slow using a “throw method.” When I took up knitting again, I decided there had to be a faster way. I would see other knitters going so fast and went on a mission to discover what they knew that I didn’t. What I learned (Craftsy website) was continental knitting. After a few months of practice, I too became proficient at this method. I almost feel like I’ve just learned how to knit even though I had knitted a few sweaters years ago.
Knitting is a wonderful thing to do while camping. There are so many days when we either have cold weather, it’s raining outside, or we just want to relax and do nothing. This is when I pull out my knitting. With a good book in my ears I can knit for hours.
Below are my current or finished projects.

Little Sister Sweater
Currently working on a sweater called Little Sister. I’m making this for my youngest granddaughter Jane. I started this when we left for Edisto Beach and have had plenty of time to work on it since it’s been chilly for most outside activities. It doesn’t look like much yet, but hopefully I’ll get it done […]
