We really enjoy staying here. It’s an all adult community (55+) but I did see some grandchildren running around. We’ve stayed here about 4 times and each time we really like the atmosphere. Maybe it’s because we are older and we like to hang with the older crowd lol. We stayed here as our launching pad when we visited Dupont Forest (click here to see gallery) and it’s also only about a 20 minute drive from Asheville and the Biltmore (highly recommended). The sites seem a little tight but everyone here is so nice that we didn’t mind the closeness. 2 times we stayed on site #69 which we preferred to site #669 another time we stayed. They have a nice pool which Greg took advantage of and it was nice there were not any kids splashing around in it. I have nothing against kids, but sometimes at a pool it can be more relaxing with just adults swimming.
There are some permanent residence living here in park homes. Each park home seems nice and makes for a nice community. I think they must have some ordinances about how the homes must be maintained because all of them seem really nicely kept. Also the permanent residences are away from the camping area.
