Quake Hold – Museum Putty
Quake Hold is a product I found out about on a FB group I’m in. I think they were talking about items shifting around if they left it out on counters when they traveled. I was skeptical when I was reading the great reviews, but have since become a believer.
My story…. I didn’t originally buy this for our camper. I originally bought this for our home. My husband plays in a band and on those nights when he has to go practice he carries out a lot of music apparatuses from his music room to his truck. I recently bought a new lamp for an end table that I had placed a few feet from his music room. One night when he was going out to practice, his keyboard bag knocked it over and shattered it. Yes, I was upset but it was only a lamp. Things can be replaced….and that’s exactly what I did (It wasn’t that expensive). This time I decided to give this Quake Hold a try. When I first tried it I didn’t think it was going to work. I followed the instructions and put a few globs under the lamp. I wasn’t too impressed at first. It didn’t seem to hold. Then I just left it for a while and figured it was better than nothing. About a week later I was dusting and was going to lift the lamp to dust under it. I almost had forgotten about this Quake Hold. I went to lift the lamp and it wouldn’t budge without some effort…. I then became a believer.
This is how I use it now in my Minnie….
This is the basket that I leave on the table. Yes, it rides on the table without going anywhere. This basket comes in really handy as it holds our salt & pepper, napkins, plastic silverware and sweetener. I love when I sit down to eat it’s always there. I don’t have to find a place for these items and they are always handy.
I only put a few globs on it and it sticks. I was sort of surprised how well it sticks to a rough basket bottom, but it seems to work. Last weekend when we had our granddaughters and had to make the table into the bed, the basket easily came off (with a little effort) and I just picked up the globs and used them again when we put the table back up.
